How do I decode my data from PTTs with 20 bit ID numbers?
The sensor information on the PTT-100 transmitters with 20 bit ID numbers is transmitted in frames of four eight bit sensors, i.e., a total of 32 bits per transmission. In order for you to interpret the data easily, you should ensure that Service Argos is passing the data to you in this format.
Simply request that they decode your data as follows:
4 x 8 bit sensors with A1 processing
This should be defined in your Argos technical file.
Standard transmitters are set up to transmit information as follows:
Figure 1 shows examples of the sensor information as transmitted to the user.
On every fourth transmission, the normal sensor frame is replaced by a special information frame. This is formatted as follows:
