Notify us if you need to return your PTTs for refurbishment or any other reason. Package the PTTs well, in the original shipping box.
For international returns, make sure that you enclose a completed Declaration of Origin* form printed on your letterhead. You will find this form included in your Field Manual shipped with the PTT.
The Declaration of Origin lists all of the specific information that Customs requires to allow shipments of our PTTs to return to the United States duty free. Under "Reason for Export," fill in "Return to manufacturer for repair."
In the past, we have been levied duties and taxes because the paperwork accompanying the PTTs did not state that the goods were manufactured in the United States by us. Dealing with the Customs Clearing department wastes a lot of valuable time. Please be aware of this when shipping the PTTs back to us or the package may be returned to you.
ANY PACKAGE CONTAINING PTTS BEING RETURNED TO US WITHOUT THE PROPER PAPERWORK WILL BE RETURNED TO THE SENDER AT THE SENDER’S EXPENSE!
When returning a used PTT, please indicate a depreciated value on the Declaration of Origin and any other customs documents affecting the shipment.
