  Refurbishment of fish tags is an ongoing part of our service to our customers. It is offered as a courtesy to our customers and in no way reflects the actual cost of the labor involved.

  • Most of our tags can be refurbished or rebuilt. If your tags are over three years old, please consult us before returning them for refurbishment.
  • Before returning tags to us for refurbishment, fill out a two-page form and email it back to us; also include a copy with the tags to be refurbished. Contact us by email, or call us for a copy of the form.
  • All tags returned for refurbishment should be packaged in original packaging and sent via Federal Express, our preferred carrier. Refer to Returning tags to Us for instructions for international returns.
  • Refurbishment/Rebuild Prices for Battery Powered , Solar Powered , Implantable , Archival Pop-Up Tags are listed in the chart below.
  • Any damage to a special reinforced antenna will result in a replacement of and charge for a new housing.
  • We may not be able to refurbish tags that have been damaged while deployed (e.g., by bullet holes, corrosion, etc.).
  • We reserve the right to determine whether or not a tag can be refurbished. As always, contact us by email, or call us with any questions.
