Disabling the Transmitter
If the tag is not deployed, replace the magnet at the end of the day.
Care of the Batteries
If the tag is going to be left switched off for extended periods it is recommended that it be allowed to transmit in the one hour test mode once every few weeks to prevent passivation of the lithium batteries.
Store the tag at low ambient temperature (e.g., in a refrigerator). This is beneficial to the batteries. DO NOT STORE TAGS IN A HOT ENVIRONMENT.
